IATSE Local 762 represents freelance Broadcast technicians working in the Chicago area. Our members specialize in covering live sports but are experienced in all types of video production, from live studio productions to single camera location shoots.
Contract With Program Productions Approved!
The members of Local 762 have overwhelmingly approved the collective bargaining agreement with new Chicago signatory Program Productions which includes a two year extension of the existing standard agreement. The vote was 47 to 3 in favor of passage, with over 80% of members voting
The contract, which will cover new work that Program Productions may acquire in the Chicago market, is the result of productive negotiations between Local 762 and IATSE International, and Program Productions. The extension includes wage and benefit increases in the final two years of the contract which average 3.5 and 3.25% respectively.
Many thanks to IATSE Vice President Daniel DiTolla for his unwavering commitment to getting this deal done. His efforts have provided the members of Local 762 with two additional years of prosperity and security.
